Participants in the 60 minute educational session by Rosen at the 2014 ASIS International will learn how to use post-hire background screening to reduce insider threats and to deal with situations that can occur after employment. While many organizations already have procedures for pre-employment background checks, the session will examine what duties and tools employers have after someone is hired and on the job. In this session, Rosen will explain how to avoid post-hire issues such as:
- Embezzlement.
- Theft of trade secrets.
- Embarrassing revelations that an executive falsified his or her resume.
- Previously unknown criminal conviction coming to light or an employee committing a new crime.
- A business acquiring a new workforce during an acquisition or merger and needing to perform background checks on the new workers.
